Swap the old yellow sodium street lamps for crisp, cold white LED light! Most European cities and motorways have already switched to modern LED lighting – in ETS2 almost every street lamp still glows orange-yellow.

What's changed:

  • Street lamps, junction lamps and motorway lighting now use cold white light (~5000 K) instead of sodium orange.
  • High mast lights at motorway interchanges, ports, toll gates, bridges and quarries are converted.
  • Tunnel lights are switched to white LED as well.
  • The lamp head flare is white too, so it matches the emitted light.
  • The fill light around the lamps and the light templates used by newer map DLCs are converted too – it works across the whole map.
  • About 40 % brighter (on paper) than the base game lamps; in practice it feels similar or even slightly lower.
  • Soft light pools: the hard, perfect circle of the base game lamps now fades out smoothly at the edges.
  • 60 light definition files and 287 lights reworked.

What stays warm:
House windows and porch lights, building interiors (malls, ferries, dealers, garages), fire and gas flames, and traffic lights remain untouched – they are warm in real life too.

Compatibility:
Works with any map and with DBM Lighting Nova – the two don't edit the same files. Conflicts only occur with other mods that change street light colours; whichever is higher in the load order wins. No DLC required, safe to add or remove at any time.

The DBM series:
Every DBM mod works on its own or together with the rest of the series. Recommended load order (top = highest priority):
00 – Headlights Plus · Heavy Overload · Human Traffic · Engine Refresh
01 – Lighting Nova
02 – Road Markings + Signs HD
03 – Road Textures
04 – Terrain Textures
05 – LED Street Lights
06 – Truck Interiors
