Realistic Police System

This mod is primarily intended for roleplay players. It addresses the issue of unrealistic police behavior regarding speeding as much as possible within the limits of the game's logic, making the police more tolerant toward the player. The chance of receiving a speeding ticket is reduced to approximately 10%, reflecting the average rate of speed enforcement, since police in the USA often overlook minor violations. It is recommended to use the realistic traffic behavior mod alongside this one for a more coherent and logical experience. The mod also introduces realistic fines with a progression of speeding ticket amounts. Fines are not dependent on your in-game level. The penalty for a vehicle crash is set to a symbolic $10, since in most cases AI drivers are at fault and the player already suffers from truck damage. The game also features insurance. Note: The higher the speed, the greater the chance of receiving a fine, but due to the game's limitations this does not always work reliably. The mod's behavior has not been fully tested.
