Header Load & Clogging Simulation
This is a global mod that is automatically available in all vehicles equipped with a cutting header.
It simulates the header utilization during harvest. The load depends, among other factors, on driving speed and the actual amount of crop being taken up by the header:
- Up to about 6 km/h, the utilization rises to approximately 80%.
- At around 7 km/h, the utilization can already reach 100%.
- From about 8 km/h with 100% utilization, the header can become completely clogged.
At high utilization, additional malfunctions may occur on the inclined conveyor and the threshing drum. After a malfunction event, the random check only becomes active again once the utilization drops to about 60% or below.
Header clogged: Cruise control and header are disabled – the clog must be cleared manually (Default: Left Alt + B).
Threshing drum clogged: The combine stops, cruise control is disabled, engine shuts off, and the header is disengaged (Default: Left Alt + T).
Inclined conveyor blocked: Cruise control is disabled and the combine shuts off – it must be restarted afterwards (Default: Left Alt + S).
The HUD displays the current header utilization and its status (NORMAL or HIGH). Clogs are signaled by clear warnings such as CUTTER CLOGGED, DRUM CLOGGED, or INCLINED CONVEYOR BLOCKED. If an AI helper is active, the clog detection system is automatically disabled to prevent the helper from stopping due to malfunctions.
