Lumberjack Hut
The Lumberjack Hut automates wood production on forested farmland parcels. Place the hut, supply it with diesel and water, and it will begin harvesting the available trees.
The hut processes actual standing trees on its parcel. Trees are gradually removed from the closest to the farthest as the corresponding volume of wood is produced. Production stops when no eligible trees remain.
Features:
- Each farmland parcel has a shared tree inventory containing its available wood.
- The inventory is created when the savegame is loaded and refreshed daily at 12:00 PM.
- Multiple huts on the same parcel share the available trees, preventing duplicate harvesting.
- Trees felled manually by the player are reliably excluded from the inventory.
- Transport charges rise with distance, adding up to 10% of the production cost for the farthest trees.
Costs:
Price: €10,000
Daily upkeep: €5
Operating cost: €200 per active hour, plus distance-based transport charges.
Production:
1 L of diesel + 1 L of water produces 625 L of wood.
Production speed: 1 cycle per hour, or up to 15,000 L over 24 operating hours when sufficient resources, eligible trees, and storage space are available.
The hut is available in the construction menu under Production → Factories.
Update: Manually felled trees are now safely removed from the inventory without consuming accumulated production credit or incurring transport charges.
Platform: PC. Single-player only; multiplayer and dedicated servers are not supported.
