Welcome to the Mittelland Canal

Welcome to the heart of Lower Saxony. Nestled between the Harz Mountains and the heathland, and in close proximity to the Mittelland Canal, this expansive 4x map is set here. It represents a realistic section of the village of “Woltorf” in the district of Peine along with its surrounding areas, though it is not an exact replica.

The map is designed for various gameplay styles and player preferences. Whether you're a single-player “small farmer” with 3m working widths or a large-scale multiplayer farmer with heavy machinery, this map caters to you. It also supports production management gameplay and “zero-to-hero” storytelling—everything is possible. Expand from small to large operations by purchasing individual “field barns” or “remote animal facilities,” common in this region due to limited farm expansion space in old village centers, as long as you have the necessary funds. Designated building plots allow for the creation of your own farm, or you can establish yourself as a production manager in the industrial area.

Excellent soil quality (80–90 soil points) ensures high yields. Besides grains, potatoes and sugar beets thrive, with the latter deliverable directly to the sugar beet factory. Extensive forest and woodland areas are available for forestry enthusiasts.

To make the map as authentic and versatile as possible, we have integrated numerous buildings, decorative objects, and placeables. Collaborating closely with fellow modders within the community, the map includes many dependencies on mods from the ModHub, ensuring recognition for all modders' contributions. Our goal is to fully utilize the possibilities of Farming Simulator.
