Realistic Combine adds a dynamic harvesting, performance and throughput system for combine harvesters and forage harvesters to Farming Simulator. Yield, crop quantity, engine power, engine speed and working speed are directly linked.
A thin crop puts little strain on the machine. When yields are high, the amount of material picked up increases, the engine is loaded harder and the possible working speed decreases. If the processing capacity is exceeded, engine speed and driving speed can drop. With significant overload of a combine harvester, harvest losses also increase.
The system recognises the brand and series of each machine via an internal database containing over 240 combine harvester profiles and assigns the matching manufacturer automatic family – including CLAAS CEMOS, John Deere HarvestSmart, Case IH Harvest Command, New Holland IntelliSense, Fendt IDEALharvest, Rostselmash RSM Adaptive Cruise Control and KRONE BiG X ConstantPower. Forage harvesters such as the CLAAS JAGUAR or KRONE BiG X also receive their appropriate control system.
Mod combines and mod forage harvesters are recognised through GIANTS vehicle functions as well. If no specific profile is stored, RCL automatically creates a generic performance profile based on the available vehicle data – so an unknown 300 hp machine won't have the same processing capacity as an 800 hp model.
The RCL Auto function takes over speed control via the standard cruise control if desired. Activate it with Left Ctrl + Left Alt + A. On headlands, RCL automatically releases cruise control. A downhill sync for combine harvesters, forage harvesters and follow-up vehicles is also included and can be retrofitted in the shop or workshop.
The simulation works without the automatic system active as well and is optimised for multiplayer and dedicated servers – without permanent field or swath scans.
