Realistic Fuel Consumption

This mod adjusts the fuel consumption of all motorized vehicles based on actual engine load. At idle, consumption stays the same as in the base game, while under full load it is significantly reduced (by default to ×0.50). In between, consumption scales proportionally to engine load. How it works:

• 0% load: ×1.00 (original consumption)
• 50% load: ×0.75
• 100% load: ×0.50

In testing, a tractor travelling at 27 km/h consumed 34.2 l/h without the mod and only 18.3 l/h with it. In-game settings: A new "Realistic consumption" section in Settings → Game lets you adjust consumption at full load (×0.30 to ×1.00) and at idle (×0.50 to ×1.00). Settings are saved with each savegame. Features:

• Compatible with all motorized vehicles, including mod-added ones
• Affects only diesel – other consumables remain unchanged
• Multiplayer compatible: the host or server sets the coefficients, while other players see the options greyed out
• No new objects and no price changes
