Seasonal Calving

This mod brings a much more realistic approach to cattle reproduction in the Farming Simulator. Instead of year-round breeding, you choose between two calving programs – Spring or Autumn Calving – and manage your cattle operation like a real livestock farmer would.

Calving Programs:
Spring Calving: Breeding season June–August / Calving season March–May
Autumn Calving: Breeding season December–February / Calving season September–November

Breeding Requirements:
A cow can only become pregnant during the selected breeding season, provided she is old enough, has at least 75% health, and meets the standard FS reproduction requirements. Once pregnant, the pregnancy continues normally even if her health drops later or the selected program is changed.

Calf Overflow System:
If the mother's pen is full at birth, the mod automatically searches for another compatible cattle pen belonging to the same farm – preferring the nearest one with available capacity. If all compatible pens are full, no unplaced calves will be created.

Additional Features:
• Spring/Autumn selection is saved separately for each savegame
• Existing pregnancies are not cancelled when switching programs
• Multiplayer supported (server controls the program)
• Only cattle reproduction is affected – other animals remain unchanged

Installation:
Place the ZIP file directly into your mods folder without extracting it. Activate Seasonal Calving when loading your savegame, then go to Game Settings → Seasonal Calving and choose either SPRING or AUTUMN.

Compatibility Note:
This mod is designed for the standard cattle system and is currently not compatible with mods like "Enhanced Livestock" or "Ritter's Realistic Livestock".
