description

Mud System Physics is an advanced physics mod that redefines how equipment interacts with soil in rainy weather conditions.

What does the mod do?

The mod introduces a dynamic dirt system affecting:

  • Wheel behavior
  • Surface grip
  • Visual effects
  • Vehicle cross-country ability
  • Field and soil conditions

Every journey in the rain or on a damp field carries the risk of getting stuck, making for more than just a pretty picture.

Key Features

  • “Real” mud physics
  • Dirt is calculated from humidity in real-time

Wheels can:

  • Slip
  • Lose grip
  • Get stuck in the mud

The heavier the equipment, the higher the risk of getting stuck.

Interaction with Fields

Mud behaves differently on various types of field soil. For instance, plowed fields are the most viscous! Optionally, you can remove vegetation in deep mud.

Flexible Settings

The mod is fully customizable through the game menu:

  • Turn on/off the mud system
  • Adjust the strength of the viscosity effect
  • Influence of rain
  • Visual effects
  • Vegetation removal
  • And much more (over 20 different settings)

All parameters can be adjusted on the fly, without restarting the game.

If the maps you play on have terrain brushes that appear as mud or dirt under physical asphalt, the asphalt will look like dirt when it rains. You can turn off dirt on terrain brushes in the settings or disable the response to Dirt brushes.

Version 1.1.1:

  • Added display of time until the end of current precipitation
  • Added a slider to the settings for turning on and off the display until the end of the current precipitation
  • Added a selection of additional dirt particles for the settings of both dirt modes (for terrain and fields)
