Seasonal Crop Stress

FS25 farms often appear lush even when your crops are silently suffering from drought. This mod changes that.

Real Soil Moisture Physics: Heat causes evaporation, while rain replenishes moisture. Sandy soil drains quickly, whereas clay retains moisture longer. If moisture levels fall below critical thresholds during crucial growth stages—such as wheat heading or corn pollination—stress accumulates, reducing your yield. Use a center-pivot irrigator, schedule it, and protect your crops.

Quick Start Guide:

1. Load your farm to activate moisture monitoring.
2. Press Shift+M to open the Field Moisture HUD.
3. Click a field to view its 5-day moisture forecast.
4. Press Shift+C to open the Crop Consultant for a risk summary.
5. Green indicates healthy crops, Yellow means attention needed, and Red requires immediate irrigation.
6. Place a Water Pump near a water source, then a Center Pivot within 500m.
7. Press E near the pivot (or Shift+I) to set your irrigation schedule.
8. Plan ahead: Drought-stressed fields yield less during harvest.
