Seasonal Crop Stress

Transform your farm with realistic soil moisture physics. Heat evaporates moisture, while rain replenishes it. Sandy soil drains quickly, whereas clay retains moisture for longer periods. If moisture levels drop below critical thresholds during key growth stages, such as wheat heading or corn pollination, stress accumulates, reducing your yield. Use a center-pivot irrigator to protect your crops.

Quick Start Guide:

1. Load your farm to activate moisture monitoring immediately.
2. Press Shift+M to open the Field Moisture HUD.
3. Click on a field to see its 5-day moisture forecast.
4. Press Shift+C to open the Crop Consultant for a risk summary.
5. Green indicates healthy crops, yellow needs attention, and red requires immediate irrigation.
6. Place a Water Pump near a water source and a Center Pivot within 500m.
7. Press E near the pivot (or Shift+I) to set your irrigation schedule.
8. Plan ahead, as drought-stressed fields yield less at harvest.
