SmartLights

SmartLights is a script mod that automatically controls headlights, work lights, and beacons. The automation takes visibility, weather, vehicle type, and work situation into account. The settings can be found in the game menu under General Settings -> SmartLights, where headlights, beacons, and work lights can each be set to Manual, Automatic, or Realistic. Manual input is always respected and takes priority. Basic Logic Headlights: Switch on depending on weather and lighting conditions. Darkness, rain, snow, hail, and fog can influence the headlights. Rotating Beacons: Switch on depending on vehicle type, vehicle size, and implement. Large or transport-relevant combinations are automatically detected. Beacons can be suppressed in work mode. Work Lights: Controlled independently from the headlights and switch on during field work or work situations. Large or foldable implements retain their work context until the work is completed. Note: AI helpers, Courseplay, AutoDrive, or other scripts may have their own lighting logic and override SmartLights.
