Volkswagen Golf I - produced the first generation of the German Volkswagen Golf compact car in the years 1974-2009. Variants produced in the boxes 4 - and 5-speed manual and three-speed automatic transmission. There were many variations of boxes adapted to different types of engines including GL (3-speed overdrive + economy), GC (4 gears, no overdrive), FF (4biegi + overdrive), 7A, 8A, 9A for MK1 GTI and convertible versions. Made of more than 6,780,050 "ones" (not counting the convertible version, the Jetta and the Caddy). Of which 1 million in the first 31 months
