Interface To The Stars
Medium weight experimental gravity drive starship.
Manufacturer: Outer Systems
After the overwhelming success of the Nostalgia For Infinity, Outer Systems was swiming in money. The original design team for the Nostalgia was given a new task. To develop the first gravity drive powered starship in existence.
Rumours had it that Starline Industries was also working on such a project, but with their sales declining since the launch of the Nostalgia, Outer Systems felt they had the upper hand.. and they did. The Interface To The Stars proves their supremacy once again.
The Interface is an experimental gravity drive based general purpose starship. It features a large pressurized cargo hold (not unlike the Nostalgia), double jump drive system, medical bay, two turrets, two large cargo containers and some other do's and that's.
The ship also incorporates a new breakthrough in convenience. A simple two-button ON/OFF system, which lets the pilot easily switch between power-saving mode and normal-operation mode. In power-saving mode, this ship can float for months without resupply.
Let's be clear about this, this ship was not meant to be mass produced. This ship was meant to show off the company's design potential.
They are built on contract basis, pay up front.. and any possible client has to have deep pockets, cause this ship does not come cheap.
Specifications:
Medium weight experimental gravity drive starship.
Advanced life support: medical bay, cryo pod, full refinery with all possible modules, assembler with two modules.
Hybrid hydrogen/ion powered.
Double jump drive.
Balanced gravity propulsion drive.
Double top mounted turrets for protection.
Large pressurized cargo bay.
Double large cargo containers.
Simple two-button ON/OFF system.
Uses automatic LCD 2 script.
Survival ready.
Base weight: 1.5M kg (mainly due to the gravity drive system weight)
Notes:
- Designed heavily based on the designs of k_medlock, most notably the Corvette, which is also found in-game as (green) encounter and the Agitator mkIII.
- It uses the [TOG] The Only Gravity Drive Script by DifferentLevelDan to operate the gravity drive.
