Advanced Designator Turret

This mod can only fulfill its intended purpose on a dedicated server, or PC!

Xbox users on their local worlds will only receive a useless turret!

Basic turret emplacements may be sufficient for protecting cargo shipments, but when war is on the horizon, proper weapons are often in short supply. Many brave engineers resort to improvised alternatives, strapping guns meant for fighter craft onto unstable assemblies. These improvised batteries are effective, but difficult to coordinate. Enter Advanced Designator Turret! With a maximum effective tracking range of 5 kilometers, this long-range designator will laze any targets for assembled weapons systems. This designator is compatible with all scripted targeting systems, and will also paint targets for improvised guided munitions.

The Advanced Designator Turret is designed for rotor turret scripts such as Whip's Turret AI Slaving, Rdav's Easy Auto Turret, and Diamond Dome. Any script using a turret for radar, or to direct player-made missiles, such as WHAM, can also take advantage of the Advanced Designator Turret's range.

• No mod scripts used! Unless Keen changes how weapons work, this mod will never break!

• Full build stage models.
• Full LOD models.
• Full block skin support.

Known issues:

• Designator will fire one harmless bullet every minute while active. (Required for turret functionality; does not affect intended use.)
• Designator has no ammo loading port. (Use terminal on Designator to load ammo.)
