The workhorse heavy frigate of Lupus Arms Manufacturers (LAM) fleet arm, Griffin heavy frigates are a testament to LAM’s resourcefulness and ingenuity, every one of the Griffin class frigates is able to punch well above their respective class and then some, being in one of the most dangerous regions of space know as the “Wolves Den”, LAM needed a powerful and reliable main combat ship that was easy to construct to combat the ever growing pirate organizations, armed with a hefty selection of weapons and enough armor to withstand larger ships, Griffin frigates are more than capable of engaging enemies head on if the situation calls for it, they normally operate in “Packs” however, having several Griffin groups work in tandem to defeat their more numerous opponents, several new types of Griffins base off of the base “Hydra” have been deployed since, the mid range Gorgon and fleet utility Titan class, any further development has been temporarily halted to advance the newly created Hippogriff class escort destroyers, while redacting the Basilisk class Griffin prototype
