LAM Hippogriff Escort Destroyer

LAM’s latest addition to it’s fleet arm, the Hippogriff Escort Destroyer was another prototype design of a “Paragon” class destroyer (Fourbutton 1701) reimagined into a fast, powerful and effective escort vessel for LAM’s WoS flagship Ares, armed with similar weapon systems to their Griffin class counterparts, the Hippogriff is now fully completed and combat ready, they sport the classic array of small arms such as 80mm Flak guns, the newer CIWS array and a pair of MRT class railgun turrets, replacing the old Azimuth and PF556 weapons, included in this setup are 4 GoalKeeper heavy CIWS turrets for better defense against fighters and smaller vessels and a mix of Starstreak heavy missile turrets and a set of 300mm Striker class and 400mm Assault class turrets, the Hippogriff is also the first of LAM combat ships to feature a CIC instead of a open traditional bridge, allowing the crew far more protection during combat, all Hippogriff class destroyers are immediately being assigned and deployed to Sparta as soon as possible, while developments on the prototype Basilisk class Griffin has been scraped in favor of more Hydra and Gorgon models to insure better uniform security across LAM controlled space
