The LAM ( Lupus Arms Manufacturings) Griffin Heavy Frigate, originally design concepts detailed an explorer/ miner but now has been converted into a fast, durable and well armed combat vessel, having multiple blueprint layouts, the LAM’s engineering and scientific divisions have finally agreed to this current model, hosting 2 Locust class modular turrets and multiple PDC, Auto Cannon and Salvo turrets, as well as forward firing missile batteries, the Griffin is able to punch well above her weight class, and even more so as 2-3 Griffins are deployed at a time, usually as scouting groups to larger ships, policing LAM territory or ward off any potential threats from rival companies, the Griffin is not to be underestimated, now totally refitted, the Griffin MK3’s feature the new Deuterium reactor technology due to clever alliances LAM has made, and have replaced the old Pulse Drives with newer, more powerful Fusion Engines, these new ships are now in their final stage, and already the LAM fleets are having their Griffin’s fully refit, however due to the experimental and underwhelming nature of the Locust turrets, they have henceforth been stripped from all LAM Griffins and reassigned to LAST ( Light Anti-Ship Turrets) that surround LAM orbital stations and lunar/ planet side bases, each Griffin is currently being fitted with two 400mm double barrel cannons
