This mod has three main objectives:

1.  To define a game environment mimicking real-life farming in a well-defined area.

2.  To enable players to individualize the game using a simple editor.

3.  To provide a game planning tool for the player who wants to do a pre-game setup.

 

Version 1.2.1.0

The approach to renting fields has changed. Now all renting contracts terminate by default on the first day of mid-winter. From the following day and onwards you can either renew the rent contract or rent other fields. The rent cost is now proportional to the duration of the rent contract.

Bale volume now depends on the size parameters of the bale.

A bug with plow and cultivation contracts has been fixed.

Fertilizer contracts on fields which has already been fertilized may not be possible. The origin of this issue is unknown. 

Version 1.2.0.0

The mod has been updated to work with the Seasons mod by Realimus Modding. The models for animal breeding and growth as well as the model for crop growth have been removed so not to conflict with the improved the models implemented in Seasons.

The script for adjusting service intervals have also been removed to avoid conflicts with same feature in the Seasons model.

The present version is a preliminary version without predicting information (objective 3) for feed and bale needs. I hope to reintroduce this feature in a later version.

The mod exists in different flavors, each representing real-life crop yield and price levels in a specific geographic area. Currently there are flavors for Germany, UK, and US Heartland.

A manual (in English) is included within the zip file.

It is unclear to what extent the Seasons mod will overwrite the game parameters defined in this mod. Please report back any signs of a possible conflict in this regard.

Der Mod wurde aktualisiert, um mit dem Seasons-Mod von Realimus Modding zusammenzuarbeiten. Die Modelle für Tierzucht und Wachstum sowie das Modell für Pflanzenwachstum wurden entfernt, um nicht mit den in Seasons implementierten Modellen in Konflikt zu geraten.

Das Skript zum Anpassen von Serviceintervallen wurde ebenfalls entfernt, um Konflikte mit derselben Funktion im Seasons-Modell zu vermeiden.

Die vorliegende Version ist eine vorläufige Version ohne Vorhersage von Informationen (Ziel 3) für den Futter- und Ballenbedarf. Ich hoffe, diese Funktion in einer späteren Version wieder einzuführen.

Der Mod gibt es in verschiedenen Geschmacksrichtungen, die jeweils den tatsächlichen Ernteertrag und das Preisniveau in einem bestimmten geografischen Gebiet darstellen. Derzeit gibt es Geschmacksrichtungen für Deutschland, Großbritannien und das US-amerikanische Kernland.

Ein Handbuch (in Englisch) ist in der Zip-Datei enthalten.

Es ist unklar, inwieweit der Seasons-Mod die in diesem Mod definierten Spielparameter überschreibt. Bitte melden Sie alle Anzeichen eines möglichen Konflikts in diesem Zusammenhang.

L'approche de la location de terrains a changé. Désormais, tous les contrats de location prennent fin par défaut le premier jour du milieu de l'hiver. Le coût de la location est maintenant proportionnel à la durée du contrat de location.Un bug avec les contrats de labour et de culture a été corrigé.

Le volume de la balle dépend maintenant des paramètres de taille de la balle.

Le mod a été mis à jour pour fonctionner avec le mod Seasons de Realimus Modding. Les modèles de reproduction et de croissance des animaux ainsi que le modèle de croissance des cultures ont été supprimés afin de ne pas entrer en conflit avec les modèles améliorés mis en œuvre dans Seasons.

Le script d'ajustement des intervalles de service a également été supprimé pour éviter les conflits avec la même fonctionnalité dans le modèle Seasons.

La présente version est une version préliminaire sans information de prévision (objectif 3) pour les besoins en aliments pour animaux et en balles. J'espère réintroduire cette fonctionnalité dans une version ultérieure.

Le mod existe en différentes saveurs, chacune représentant le rendement réel et les niveaux de prix des cultures dans une zone géographique spécifique. Il existe actuellement des saveurs pour l'Allemagne, le Royaume-Uni et les États-Unis.

Il est difficile de savoir dans quelle mesure le mod Seasons va écraser les paramètres de jeu définis dans ce mod. Veuillez signaler tout signe d’un conflit éventuel à cet égard.

    Bugs that I am noticing :

    When accepting a fertilizer mission, the growth of the field regresses either to Planted or Germinated. The fertilized state also regresses back to 0% fertilized. Perhaps these were old missions that I had not accepted in a while so it goes back to the field state of when the mission was generated.

    You can not spread more than one application per growth stage.. so if you spray an herbicide, it will not take fertilizer.. if you spread fertilizer, it will not take herbicide.. until the next growth stage (or cultivation or plowing).

    Spawned or bought bales that are defined at 1500 or 2600L will sometimes actually output 4000L of material.. when either directly fed to animals (without a spreader) or cut open (with global company right click).

  6. Hello JS39. Yes an update is soon to be released. I was ready to do so, but then a couple of multifruit map updates came out with new fruits and I thought I would add them to the update. This is a bit time demanding, as many map makers spell fruit names as they please. The good news is that I'm replacing GrowthControl with my own simple add-on. GrowthControl has not been updated to handle multifruit. So I decided to add the possibility of entering the number of growth-days for each fruit defined by the mod. Growth-days is to be specified as real-life days, e.g. 45 for grasses, around a 100 for grain and even longer for sugarbeet.

    If a farmland holds more than one field, it will look as if you have paid for both fields, but in reality the price is for all the fields within this farmland.

    Some field numbers have been designated to Rentable fields. You can change the field numbers in an editor. There are 2 rentable fields for each 10 fields. The price for renting is taken from national statistics and depends on the location. The rent price is written together with the purchase price when you press lAlt-rf. In effect you are just paying a lower price for the field. Ideally you would have to pay rent once every year.

    Hello, thanks again for your work, donating with paypal is still not possible. Is there anything new that you can use your mod with patch 1. 4 again?
    Then the question about the field prices there seems to be something wrong. I have finished the Somewhere in Thuringia 4 compartment with orders and now there are large fields which cost less than a meadow which is tiny. Large field about 20 hecktar or more with corn on it 28000 Euro although the pricescale is at 1? I had also read something about leasing fields, how does that work?

    Dann die Frage wegen den Feldpreisen da scheint etwas nicht zu passen. Ich habe mir die Irgendwo in Thüringen 4 Fach mit Aufträgen fertig gemacht und nun gibt es große Felder die weniger wie ne Wiese kosten die winzig ist. Große Feld ca 20 hecktar oder mehr mit Mais drauf 28000 Euro obwohl der Pricescale bei 1 ist? Ich hatte auch etwas mit Felder pachten gelesen, wie geht das den?Grüße JS39


  8. With patch 1.4 the store items have been renumbered. This causes a few store items to get incorrect prices in this mod. A correction is being tested.

    Hello, now I wanted to test the mod with an interesting map the Kandelin and then this happens in the log. The map will not load any more but will not be able to detect the error.

I have been at LS since 2008 and have already built and ingame some models for the game. I have a small youtube channel and try to play LS as real as possible. I have unfortunately little idea of Lua and scripts and appreciate your work very much. I have read your PDF and hopefully understood it and know how much work you do for yourself which I also like to support with a donation. We play to 4 on one server but from time to time also SP.
    What you want to do reminds me of Dural (no more how you heard) more realistic and Deckker I don't know about, you might be able to contact them about MP in the UK forum. My english is unfortunately not perfect and I had this text translated and hope you understand everything so far. I would be very happy if you would stick to your plans and hope that you will still find a balance through all the realistic values and then earn some money on Hardcore.

    First, big thanks for your work! Mod is amazing and love it.
    I have one question. Is (or will be) possible to manage / set-up period lenght? In your manual you have mentioned 1gameDay = 1 realMonth. I'm using time speed 3x and will be fine split 1 ingame month to 3 parts for me. Somethink like general parameter for whole time calculation in your mod. I hope it make a sense for you.
